Prayer alerts are not going off#

Almost always Android's battery management rather than the app. Fixes, in order of how often they work:

1. Allow ZohaNur to run in the background and exclude it from battery optimisation.
2. On Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and OnePlus devices, enable Autostart for ZohaNur.
3. Grant the exact alarm permission if your Android version asks for it.
4. Check that the specific alert is switched on in settings, not just notifications generally.

Prayer times are a few minutes off from my masjid#

Almost certainly the calculation method rather than an error. Different authorities use different sun angles for fajr and isha, and ZohaNur supports fourteen of them.

Recitation stops when I lock the screen#

Grant the app permission to run a foreground service and exclude it from battery optimisation. This is the same setting that affects alerts.

I lost my data after reinstalling#

ZohaNur stores everything on your device and nothing on a server, which means there is no account to restore from. Uninstalling erases bookmarks, habits, counts and downloads. What is stored and what survives →
